What if my phone breaks and I am not able to text the guy I like? Does he loose interest?

So, a couple weeks ago my phone broke, and I wasn't able to turn it on. A few days later I told the guy this and he was like ok just text me whenever you get it fixed. but it took longer than expected and I haven't texted him in 2 weeks. So, my question basically is: Will a guy loose interest in me if I am not able to text him?

Get a new phone or borrow a friend's phone to let him know that yours crapped out and it might be a few days before you get a new one.
Or, and this is really old school, go talk to him in person.

It's a risk- but an easily averted one. Just find another means of contacting him- ask for an email address or something.

we don't live close to each other so I can't really see him, but I guess I could call him from another phone. I don't know why I didn't think of that before.

i would lose interest if you didn't find some way to reach out, not because a couple weeks is "so long" but because there are too many easy work arounds... VOIP for one...
