Why he won’t text me back?

so I dated this guy for two days we were in relationship for one day and then he broke up with me over text message.

he said “Hey I'm sorry to do this through the phone but it's been on my mind that I don't think we'll be able to work out but I want you to know that l wasn't just trying to sleep with you I think you deserve someone who can give you the same affection you do, I'm just not ready to trust someone ”

I called him requested to talk over video chat, he picked up and said he realized he’s not that into me as he thought he was and that he’s going to be busy with career change and no time to date anymore. He’s also realizing he’s not into me enough to quit smoking weed and vape.( he told me he quit already when we met). I really liked him a lot because it really feels like you recognize the love of life type of feeling, which I never have had before, it’s extremely hard to describe because I’ve never felt this way about anyone before. I had to step back and offer to be friends, because I don’t want to keep pushing him and he doesn’t wanna talk or ghost me. He said ok and look forward to the friendship. I texted him asking how’s his day everyday for a week, he responded the first two days and stopped responding. I have been extremely sincere and loving to him, I offered him so much but why I don’t even deserve to be responded to? Why am I not good enough to even be friend? I am really hurt, why he’s doing that to me? He must know how much I’m hurting when he doesn’t respond. And I can’t even complain about it because I’m really scared of him ghosting me. What should I do?

Are you really in the age group 36-45? To me, you sound much younger because a person with so much life experience should have known right away that this person only tried to get in your pants, even though he apparently denies it.

Now, the way I see the problem is that you seem to want to hang onto this relation at all costs. If not as a couple, then you go to great lengths to be friends. Why? The actual excuses he gave you for not wanting to be together with you are just phony. Also, in order to have you off the hook, he agreed to friendship. When he realized that you were hanging on this friendship more than he could handle, he simply did not respond to your texts hoping that you would finally give up.

What you should do? Simply move on and forget about this failed friendship. You will not get anything more out of this person. He obviously is not slightly interested in being friends with you.

The quicker you forget about him, the sooner you can concentrate on someone that deserves you. Good luck.

I think you are right about it. I think I got played big times. There’s no way he’s been sincere and then just throw me away like that. Someone who’s sincere would have at least messaged me back as friends instead of just completely not responding. But one thing I don’t understand, he’s played me and he doesn’t care about my feelings, why he hasn’t blocked me on his phone? Wouldn’t that be easier for him to not be bothered at all?

I have been trusting people too easy, I want to give people automatic trust until they prove me wrong. But from this experience, I think I really need to trust only when they prove me they are true.

Some people want to keep girls as "back-ups", just in case. If he blocks you, he severs the last bridge. If something goes wrong with a new girlfriend, he can always try to come back and apologize. Of course, this apology is not sincere but at least, it would potentially allow him to get intimate until he finds yet another substitute.

I feel so different when I’m around him, when I look into his eyes it feels like I’m in paradise. It’s extremely hard to describe, I have never felt this way before with anyone. Even though if was just two days that I met him I realized there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for him. I don’t think I can ever find someone else that makes me feel the same way. I thought I found the love of my life, and really am ready to give it all and really make him the happiest guy in the world by giving him lots of love and affections and care. But honestly I feel like my deep devotion somehow pushed him away and made me really unattractive to him. I would understand he doesn’t wanna date but how could he be so cruel to someone who care about him so much and so giving to him that he doesn’t reply me at all as friend. Why he doesn’t care about me at all as a human being?

Yeah I’m feeling a bit better now. I have realized that I really mean nothing to him, and I really started to view it as a dream I had.

I’ve been so sincere and giving to him, why am I not good enough to be replied to as a friend?

He told me he’s been hurt many times and he has trouble trusting people. I told him he can really trust me, he said I hope so we’ll see. The whole time I’ve been trying to show my affections and proving my trust worthiness. I just don’t know how he could say I could trust him and then break up with me without even giving me a chance to make it work, and now he’s not even texting me back as a friend. I feel really trashed.

True. I agree. He probably just agreed to bring my boyfriend to just make it not sound rude to say no or something. I wished he had just been honest with me and just told me he needed to know more about each other before being in relationship. I would have been ok with that. Instead he said he’s got trouble trusting people and he asked me if I could trust him. So I was really eager to prove that I’m trustworthy and I wanted him to feel I’m treating him different than other girls that betrayed him. But turned out that pushed him further away. Maybe some people just don’t want to be treated right, he probably enjoy jealousy and think what he can’t get or girls guys compete for is a lot more attractive.
