I know I shouldn't laugh, but I remember reading many many years about a clairvoyant who was travelling home from her place of work, and got run over by a bus.

I can't remember the exact story. it was about 20 years ago that i read it. I think the bus skidded to avoid a car that broke suddenly and swerved out the way where she was crossing! It was a terrible thing to happen, just the irony of it.. ya know?

Part of the reason it's less sensitive is because the nerve endings are spread out over a much larger area rather than being all compacted together in an area the size of a nipple.
