At what age do men find women unattractive?

Question

I am referring to a woman's age here.

I've read answers here for guys who said that women start losing their beauty once they hit 30 and others said that they find women in their 40's attractive. So, I think it depends on the man and this is why I'm asking this question.

At what age do YOU find women unattractive? This question is for men, but girls are welcomed to share their thoughts. :)

P.S. Be honest. No need to sugarcoat your real opinion on this matter.

Both are true.

Women in general are probably physically at their peak before 25. Some women may look better at 40 then 30, but that's generally if she was in bad shape at 30 and got in shape for 40. Some women look better -relative to other women- as they age because they have stronger more 'handsome' features that hold up to gravity better. So some women sort of 'grow into their looks'.

But barring a lifestyle change, a woman with the same style, makeup, fitness level looks better in her early 20's then she does in say, early 40's. If you took 100 women who were 22, and 100 women who were 44, the 22 year olds would, as a group, be more attractive.

This woman: link is almost 50. That's a recent photo. She's smokingly hot. Not like 'if you're an older guy, she's hot' hot. She's just flat out hot. Did she look better without photo retouching 10 years ago? Yeah, she did. But she's still much better looking then most young women. She's an outlier of course.

So do women magically become unattractive? No. But there's a decline. For some women who don't take care of themselves, that decline is rapid. For others, the decline is slow and gradual. But it starts pretty early.

The majority of women are quite a bit less attractive in their 40's then in their 20's. I still find lots of women in their 40's attractive, but the reality is, above average women in their 40's have bodies -almost as good- as any average 20 something woman who is not overweight.

As both men and women get older, you realize you good you had it when young.

I really believe it depends on the woman. Some women tend not to show their actual age, then some who appear to be age appropriate while others tend show signs of aging that is beyond their actual age. That being said, I really think it comes down to the attraction of the woman. If a woman who's in her 40's but looks like she's in her early to mid 30's, then I would find her more attractive than the woman who's in her 30's but her appearance is in her mid 40's.

Generally, at my current age, I don't find women who are in their 60's attractive. The maximum age I would most likely approach would be a woman in her early 50's. In fact, a little less than a month ago I met a woman who appeared to be around 37 or 38 but turned out she was 51. Her skin was truly remarkable.

Even with my set limit of approaching a woman, still doesn't mean that I don't find any woman beyond that age as unattractive. I just have my limits as to who I would consider as a date. Same goes for younger women as well. Just because I find a 24 year old woman attractive doesn't mean I am going to approach her. I just prefer a woman who is closer to my age and peer group.

Overall I think it's purely based on genetics of the woman, how well she takes care of herself that would be a better determining factor for determining how attractive she is because some women just seem to defy the normal chronological aging process.

It depends on the woman.

Some grow into more attractive women as they get older, others lose their looks early on (due to physical wear and tear, white hair, freckles, balding, fat, etc.). I've seen this first hand.

Also, there are women who look ugly because they are worn by worries or are "b*tchy" and look older and weary than they should (even if they're just teenagers). I've also seen this first hand.

Other girls go through a very awkward stage early on in their teens and suddenly (in their 20s/30s) develop into poised ladies who are admired by everyone around them.

Guys pick up on physical appearance but not just to measure a girl's attractiveness. Her appearance also speaks volumes about her personality (the way she looks at people, the way she smiles, the way she talks, etc.). It's not so much what a person says but the fact that she addresses a matter in a peaceful and pleasant way. No one likes a nasty person, a sneaky gold-digger, etc.

To me, attraction doesn't have to do with age. I've known some really old ladies who were beautiful, because of the overall people that they were and really ugly young girls who's physical features were admiring but their inner selves were the opposite of their looks. Also, a lot of the time a woman's looks are enhanced with age. Like the older they get, the better looking they are. It's aging with beauty. But then there are the non so lucky ones who's looks don't appeal to others with age. It's got to do with genes too I think.

attractiveness regardless of age, could well mean several things...

1. A good Personality with charisma, charm etc

2. A well taken care body without drugs, alcohol and other sh*t put into it

3. Pheromones

hmm, well I am sorry to say this, but anyone who based their opinion on age or looks is a superficial person :S

I am now convinced that when something bad happens, it is for a reason...like if I've never been is judged fro my age or looks, I wouldn't understand how a person shouldn't judge others based on their looks.

Regarding the question, I believe the appropriate word is "attractive" instead of "beauty", yet one might argue that attractiveness is related to an attitude not looks...but anyho, thank God am not one of those superficial or at least not to that extend noticeable(because yeah, no one can be good right?)

It depends more on the women... Girls that have cute facial features, cute facial expressions, and a playful natures generally are attractive for a long time (maybe even 50 years old). Girls that just depend on their youth, makeup, and young persona even if they have a somewhat attractive face generally go down hill around 26 or so if they were clubin hoes that stayed out late nights drinking and have a bitchy attitude... Lasting beauty is generally because of personality. It shows in all their facial expressions and just makes you go damn. =P

I'm almost 50, father of three.

I have noticed in myself that I start to get physically repulsed by women over 35. Sometimes even earlier. I cannot help it and I don't want to. i don't even want to look at them. As soon as the first wrinkles appear, it'll take another 5 years and then I don't find them attractive anymore. I have this already with my mid-20 colleagues: the first wrinkles, the sagging of the cheeks (both tush and facial) and of the breasts. Age lines forming along the cheek line. Also, once a woman becomes a mother, she becomes less attractive. Aging is the best libido killer.

I dare to say it's unnatural to find a woman over 40 attractive. Attraction has to do with fertility, biologically. Women over 40 do not appear fertile, even if they would still be. They have had their best days.

Some women will take offense, calling this discriminatory and maybe macho, but hey! You, ladies think I care what you think? You're probably over 40 yourself, growing bitter with the fact that your feminine power is waning. You become invisible, just like us, guys were, when we didn't meet all sort of requirements in the dating pool.

I'm almost 50, as I said. I can't imagine in ten years to have sex with a woman of almost 60. The thought of it takes the joy out of my life and makes me run for a solitary life faraway in the woods. I believe women are most attractive between 19 and 26. Then some remain so until 36, but then it's game over.

However, I find women MENTALLY attractive as soon as they pass 35. They are more mature and at ease with their bodies. They are also less complicated and easier with sex. It's a difficult choice: do I want a young, attractive and maybe difficult woman in bed, or an older, more experienced and easier woman in bed? I'll take the younger one anytime.

Just depends.

I would say that the key age is about 21. Most girls will either maintain their looks at that age, others will start to drop off depending on how they treat their bodies and how much they care about fashion.

I've seen 40yr old women who I'd f*** in a heartbeat, but I've seen just as many 21yr olds who I wouldn't touch with a 10ft pole.

I find that the college years and shortly after is kind of the moment of truth where a girl is going to get set on a lifestyle that will dictate much of what she looks like. I think for women especially that age, is when your body stops doing the work for you. Simply put, once a girl hits her early 20's, that's when her metabolism no longer can keep up with binge drinking, cheeseburgers and ramen noodles. I just notice that in high school, almost every girl was attractive and in shape, by the end of the college, half of those girls had put on 50+ lbs because their bodies could no longer support their unhealthy lifestyle.

Honest opinion - no sugarcoating:

It depends. I think that "looks fade" is not always true. Especially, if a woman makes an active effort to take care of her body and health. Of course, genetics and aging metabolism is an issue, and it's harder for some women than others to maintain their health.

But, for example, a woman with some weight on her in her 20's would be curvy, and that would be attractive. At 40 though, it sags and it's not as attractive.

I'd say generally, from the 35 to 45 year range, depending on the woman, is when looks start to fade. But there's always plenty of exceptions.

I think you have attractive women at every age, except when they hit those high ages like 85-120 years.

So I guess I wouldn't be hitting on any ladies that have reached their 80's.

My grandmother is 87 and totally no where as attractive when she was in her 20's something, but she is still one of my favorite darlings in a very non sexual way hahaha. :-)

I see good looking women at your mentioned ages all the time, they are in my age range so I guess it's only natural.

For me chemistry, love, affection etc matters. I have something for you and I'll be nuts about your skeleton devoid of the skin too :D the only problem however, is no one believes the way I believe myself lol But a lot of people since childhood have debated my beliefs about myself & have been proven wrong :D

Attraction is bot just looks.. if you are energetic funny and have a beautiful smile.. then you can leave a print on the man . There are ladies that I didn't think I would fall for but they charmed me with their personalities and fun .

Besides .. it depends on the age of the man . Then we can find older women attractive as well.

It depends much on the woman and how she takes care of herself .

To try to give you a straight answer ...Lets say .. 42 for example. But that does mean women over that age are unattractive. Remember men are different .. very different ..

To be perfectly honest it depends on how well they took care of themselves.  I've seen a lot of professional fitness models well into their 40s and 50s who still looked better than 90% of the twentysomething women out there because they make healthy living a priority (they kind of have to, since its their job lol).  However, women who like to spend their 20s partying their life away, drinking heavily and not getting enough sleep seldom look good past their mid 30s.

There's very few nice looking old broads at the gym. There is one lady in her 50's that still looks really good.

I'm in my thirties. I prefer younger women or women in my age class, so therefore as it stands, much older woman usually do not appeal to me. However, I'm almost sure If I make it to age seventy and beyond, I would consider a fifty year old a sweet young hottie.

Honestly, I don't think I'll ever find women unattractive based on age. I believe as men become older and more mature, our taste in women evolves and expands.

It depends on the woman as well in my opinion, how she looks, and how well she takes care of herself. For me, generally though, I think most women start to loose their beauty in their mid to late 30s. I am in my mid 40s, very active,  and trend to date women in their early to mid 20s. To me, it seems most women close to my age who are single have been through too much, have too much baggage, and it shows both physically and emotionally, causing them to be unattractive. But one of my friends, his wife is in her late 40s, looks almost half her age, I think she is smoking hot even at her age. I know a few ladies in their 20s who don't take care of themselves, chain smoke, were cute several years ago, but now are not attractive at all.

IMO, most women start to lose their looks in their late 20s.

But some women look really hot in their 30s, sometimes even better than in their 20s. However, these women tend to be natural beauties who take care of their bodies with diet and exercise. Hence they're pretty rare.

I have never found a woman older than her early 40s truly attractive.

I really don't think there's a way to quantify it. you see women in there late twenties losing their looks, but then some don't really lose it until like their sixties. If you really want like a range. I would say typically mid to late 40s, but again some women still look great at those ages too.

Honestly, if you were an elf who was 300 years old I would find you attractive if you looked attractive (I probably wouldn't know your age, though). If you were 24 and you looked ugly, I wouldn't find you attractive.

There is no limit to how long a person can keep their youth, so its not an age, its a health status. I'm almost 40 and I look like I did at 14 still, and I'm going to look that way, at 50, 60, 70, etc so long as I take care of myself.

Poor health becomes unattractive, but that can happen at any age.

Theres no age where you suddenly become unattractive, and it's different for every one. But considering women are most attractive between 16 and 18, it probably slowly tapers off from there.

Personally I haven't been attracted to anyone over 40, and rarly anyony over 30, reminds me to much of my mom no matter what, which is an obvious turn off lol.

This is purely in regards to physical attraction though.
