Who was the oldest person to get signed to a major label and became famous late?

I calculated how much time it will take me to blow up as an artist and to becoming famous and a accomplished/ talented musician and it will take me 10 years!

and getting signed a major label.

I knew people who where signed to a major label deal and they where always stuck up kids who didn't have best personalty to began with. nice guys never get signed,
