It's not just you. I've seen it too. It is a bigger problem amongst white women, and less so among non-white women, from my experience at least. I don't know exactly why, but I am going to just assume that feminism is to blame.
I actually do; I have what I think are some pretty insightful thoughts on the things you mentioned. They are important issues and I share your frustrations about men.
If you want to take the time to create your own thread and ask those questions there, like everyone else, I would be happy to share my thoughts.
But as it is, your "questions" are nothing more than useless rhetoric in a thread about a totally unrelated topic.
it is related to this topic in the sense that most people don't adhere to certain gender roles anymore. women were good cooks back in the day because they had to be. the husbands were at work all day so the wives HAD to do SOMETHING. the couldn't just sit on their ass all day and do nothing, so they cooked and cleaned. do you expect women now a days to be providers, cook, clean, and take care of the kids?
Among the people I know, most of the men and women have families and work full time. The men are equally engaged with the family and home responsibilities, including the shopping and cooking, so I'm not buying your stereotypical response. The difference is that the ladies can make a meal, but they can't COOK. They don't care to know how. The men can and do. This is a common theme today...not just my experience.
Plenty of men are masculine, chivalrous, and are providers. The problem is that women reject these guys and go for the guys who aren't providers, chivalrous, or masculine.
@QA you're taking personal experience and applying it to an entire gender. every, and I mean EVERY woman in my family can cook. whenever I go to my aunts house people from all around her neighborhood come to see if she has cooked anything. my mom cooked every night throughout my entire childhood and everyone in the family loved my grandma's food. every woman in my family is a great cook but all of the men couldn't make ramen noodles without screwing something up.
@QA continued: so using that info is it fair for me to assume all men are bad cooks? no. I haven't met all men so I wouldn't know that. have you met all women? no. so you can't say "why can't women cook anymore?"
@rocksongwriter you're obviously making that up. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say your one of those self proclaimed "nice guys" who got rejected by a few girls so now you like to have your own little pity party and complain that "girls only like a**holes" just so you can feel like a victim. no girl is going to reject a guy who is masculine, chivalrous, and a provider. a girls biological instinct is to want a guy who is masculine and a provider.
@toulouse - I did not mean to infer that there are no women who can cook. Clearly there are still a lot of women who can cook, and cook well. I was making a statement about a trend, and that trend is undeniable. My question was about the reasons behind the trend, and I think a lot of people have responded here with good insight. Thanks for sharing yours.
Look what we have here. An anon guy over 45 that can't get laid and trying to guess who is on his lame questions. What else is new on this site? *eyeroll*
Alrighty, then. It's obvious you're one of those losers I mentioned. Because you're the only guys on here that go anon, troll, and then try to guess who's behind the anon button. You always fail I've noticed lol
Maybe french guys. But then again, they were never masculine. I live in the states. And American guys here are so feminine, it makes women vomit. Seriously.
So you're not going to answer my question? You shouldn't be cooking. You should be fixing a car or training in the military. You should do things that men do. No wonder American women go overseas to find men now.
Not just your ass though. EVERY guy in America should do manly things. I'm sick of this generation of American guys. There's too many guys into fashion, cooking, nails and other things that are feminine.
Whatever. Get back to your cooking skills. You make me sick. Instead of answering my question, you turned into a big whiny crybaby like all the guys on this site do.
I agree with this actually. Men are not masculine and tough, and women are not feminine and sweet. We got this big pool of slobs instead.. everyone loses
i wouldn't call American men feminine. they won't dare wear their hair long because girls like you told them it's GAY or FEMININE. I HATE short hair. DAMMIT.

I can cook! I love makin my man dinner and I bake him goodies for his lunches.
You must be in with the wrong crowd pretty much everyone I know men & women know how to cook.
That's good to hear. Certainly very different from my experience.
Mind you someare way better then others.
...because they're liberated...go figure why more than 50% of marriages end in divorce.
Doesn't bother me.
I think people who hark the "good old days" are autistic. Kindly state why the "good old days" were intrinsically good?
why can't men get off their ass and be providers for the whole family anymore?
why can't men be chivalrous anymore?
why can't men be masculine anymore?
So I take it you don't have an answer to the question...
and I take it you don't have an answer to mine either.

Why the change? That's what I'm getting at.

If you want me to be one of those guys, that's fine. lol

Why aren't men masculine anymore?
Because of feminism.
because of ww2

LOL...how old are you? LMAO!
None of your business
Why are you wasting your time here when you're clearly in the top 99% percentile for IQ.
I agree with this actually. Men are not masculine and tough, and women are not feminine and sweet. We got this big pool of slobs instead.. everyone loses
"And American guys here are so feminine"
How so?
i wouldn't call American men feminine. they won't dare wear their hair long because girls like you told them it's GAY or FEMININE. I HATE short hair. DAMMIT.
Then stick to your feminine boys if you like them so much. American guys ARE feminine.
Why aren't men strong anymore?
Because guys can't do anything masculine anymore.
Um, yeah...that makes sense. LOL.
Bitterness kill don't ya know...
