Aaron is the creator of alpha m. a male image consulting firm. For almost a decade he's been working with thousands of men from around the world helping them with their personal style, grooming, fashion, image, wardrobe, dating and most importantly their confidence.

Aside from the consulting Aaron has his own YouTube channel where he discusses issues men want to know and need to know; about life, relationships, fitness and more. Those big strong men were used and controlled by the most intelligent males all through the history and are in fact beta males. times have not changed, it will never change.

The one thing people do not understand is that the Alpha male is 'not' a Man-woman thing it is Man-Society hierarchy. whether in the human society or the animal kingdom.

Alpha male is a leader. And women have nothing to do with determining who is the alpha male. If it is on most women alpha males are JBs and michael jacksons. Men who can't pull their own pants up let alone leading a family and the society. Or are "big strong" abusive douchebags who have a complex of having sex with 1000 females and making half of them pregnant.

So stop applying Alpha-Beta hierarchy into your lame dating world and shattered society.

Alpha hierarchy is a for a patriarchal society where the ranks are primarily based on intelligence. a society that men have the will and the desire to build and lead families. And they are charming to women for their maturity and strength and leadership skills. and for nothing else.

An Alpha male might never even give a single flying fuck for a woman and still lead an 80 million nation.

What this man is saying though is the simple guide to be an acceptable masculine and a male who feels comfortable in his own skin. and tips on how to connect with females. some of them are very basic tips that existed all through history and some of them are tips to be flexible in the lost society of today. none of them is related to being Alpha or Beta or making someone alpha.

That's actually false.

Yes, alpha males required the ability to be leaders. Because that's what an Alpha is. A leader.
Yes, they often were/are intelligent, because being the leader requires some level of competence.

That said. Historically speaking, there was a strong requirement to be physically capable or you died. Cultures like Native American cultures for example. The only way you became a leader was through proving yourself in hunting and on the field of battle. You HAD TO be the badass, experienced, wise guy who people were willing to follow. There were no exceptions in Native American cultures.

Gengis Khan. Love him or hate him. He was the big, strong guy. The badass his people followed.
Viking Culture required you to be strong and therefore the big strong guy who also was competent and could lead would rise to the top.
European Tudors if you weren't strong you got dethroned. Princes who gained the Kingdom purely through being a blood hier lost their kingdoms if they were not also strong.

It's only in more modern cultures that built a system where artificial leadership is capable that didn't come with the requirement of being big and strong. Like Kingdoms where the Prince becomes King for no other reason, than he is the son of the King. He gets to lead. But as I said before. Many times the Prince would be killed or just dethroned if he was not also an warrior. While alpha's today don't need to be big and strong, that's not most societies throughout history.

Also, the smartest men in cultures generally become advisers rather than leaders themselves. Because they were more often predisposed to that type of role. Not being alphas themselves. Some were Alphas in their own right, like Plato or Greek figures who were intelligent and built schools. They never became major figurehead leaders of society tho.

I was surprised to see his name pop here. I follow him on youtube and he's actually quite funny, and does do a lot more good than harm for men. I love the vitriolic hatred for this though. I get the sense that people just saw "alpha male" and immediately started to have convulsions... but the opening few minutes of his definition of what he sees as an alpha male really isn't far fetched. Actually, I quite agree with his definition, as its probably the least destructive version of an alpha male that I've ever really heard of. If you even listened to the whole thing, he stated he doesn't even believe in beta males, and feels like being alpha isn't about being some macho douchebag reject... but simply being the best version of yourself

You're literally wasting your time trying to help the guys on here. Even though a good number clearly have no idea about women, they still act like they do. Their way too far off the deep end, and arguably may not even be worth helping. Any suggestion that involves changing a part of themselves that isn't working by one inch is met with a knee-jerk reaction not worth fighting against. The main thing that keeps me happy though is that we aren't borg. i don't need to listen to the minds of other people, or limit myself the way they do.

Anyways, thanks for this take. This isn't really the place for his kind of material though, as men who are actually capitalist and successful aren't liked much on here. If you charge money for any sort of labour when it comes to helping men, you get immediately classed as some PUA scammer. Some of them are from his own personal view which he isn't saying that everyone should agree with. But I think he and many other guys like him, would be very helpful in the PUA circuit.

I was reluctant to watch anything with alpha male in it.

The first question, right off the bat, kept me hooked. MUCH better idea of an alpha male. Though at this point the term is stretched to the point of meaninglessness.

On the going Dutch thing. There are many cases where I may pay for a girl, but frankly if she is going to consider me cheap for not buying HER meal, that speaks more to her stinginess, since she is apparently offended that she has to pay for her own food.

If you argue that "I shouldn't be asking you out if I'm not paying" I would argue "You shouldn't be accepting dates you can't afford."

If you argue that "The one doing the asking should pay" I will ask you how many guys you have asked out.

I'm sorry, this is the 21st century. The only reason this became common courtesy was because women didn't make their own money. I'm not anti-gift or anti-generosity. But if you can't even concede that this is a double standard, then I'll question how much I can trust you.

That being said, when money isn't tight, there's still a lot of joy in trying to get her something thoughtful or treat her out to a nice evening out. Personally, I think how we do things should be swapped. I think you should go Dutch until you build an interaction dynamic.

Seems like a sugar coated new age PUA to me. Just another guy capitalizing on guy's desires and lack of experience. His video presence has the air of a budding actor not an authentic person at least to me. I know because that's the same demeanor I had when pitching my old startup to potential investors. I genuinely believed what I was saying but I was trying to sell myself and my product. It seems like everything he says is trying to position himself away from your average PUA by making everything sound politically correct. For Gagers, I think he is charming and well-spoken, as well as enthusiastic, genuine, and engaging. The image of an alpha male certainly has changed, or rather, has become more refined and in tune with the demands of a progressive society. Adaptation is key, and understanding yourself and your surroundings is critical. Those who cannot adapt fall behind and become bitter, blaming everything around them except for themselves.

Also, I am not sure if you actually watched the entire video or not, but Aaron has been married or together for 12 years with his wife... He is a "male image consultant" not a PUA.

And yes, I saw some shitty attitudes from women here as well, however, this take, ad his video is very clearly directed towards men. I do not shy away from giving women with a shitty attitude a hard time. I do see it less often here at GaG though... or it seem more justified when I do see it.

Also, while it is easier to get the girl when you are good looking, I know very good looking guys who are horrible in social situations and as a result never get the girl, and some ugly motherfuckers who have swarms of girls, so while looks does obviously contribute, it is not like that entirely.

Honestly I hate the term alpha male and I thought this was going to be a pretty stupid video, but to be honest I was both pleasantly surprised and shocked. Shocked and surprised because I actually agree with pretty much all of his points and how he goes about them, no arrogance in his voice at all, just confidence and assurance. And because we have the same viewpoints it was kind of like looking in a mirror in terms of how we go about things, our views, old fashioned-ness etc.

It was a good video and one I was not expecting to like.

This guy... I've been following for many years now. He's a nice guy with good intentions, but unfortunately he isn't very knowledgeable when it comes to clothing (as an image consultant) and far less when it comes to dating.

He is a businessman trying to expand his business offering dieting advice, clothing advice, hair advice, dating advice. Is he really 'qualified' to give advice in all these areas? No, the only decent advice is clothing/style, but even then its only really useful for beginners. Anyone who has reasonable idea of what to do, his videos are too basic or gives opinions that are slightly misinformed (common misinformation you'll see on internet forums e. g. styleforum, askandyaboutclothes and not real professional information).

So in summary, his videos are useful for guys who have little or no idea of what to do when it comes to clothing/style. He dating advice is highly generic and you'll get as good advice simply typing 'dating advice' in youtube.

I like this guy! It seems like he was being honest, gave good advice, and I don't think was trying to insult anyone. He was just giving general tips that may boost a man's confidence and make him more presentable. It didn't seem like a scheme and he didn't have a particularly one-size-fits all standard for anyone and was clear that each individual has their own style. Many of the tips are transferable to women though the clothing choices would obviously probably differ. I only disagree in who pays for the date in that whoever initiates the first date should pay, and that doesn't necessarily have to be the man.

Not bad. I was expecting this guy to be full of shit. Most subjects he nailed on the head. However, I disagree with his belief that masculinity has changed just because equality, political correctness, etc. A masculine man doesn't concern himself with these "rules". I also believe he is a little biased when it comes to size and presence because of him being a littler guy. Although littler guys can indeed be alpha, a large presence is still an alpha characteristic. He may not achieve the large presence with his physical size, but there's a certain charisma he possesses that happens to serve that purpose. There seem to be varying interpretations of what is and isn't alpha, the same way confidence is described differently by different people. We usually consider alpha to be strong and confident, but isn't true confidence displayed by accomplishment with modesty instead of self promotion and bravado.

People misunderstand the whole alpha/beta hierarchy. In a wolf pack the alpha is the leader and the beta is second in command followed by deltas and gammas. They all have roles just as we do in life. Social hierarchy is fractal, especially in humans. In many situations, I'm an alpha. Especially socially. At work, I'm an alpha sometimes, a beta, sometimes a delta at times. There are people who know more than me and possess better leadership qualities than I do. When my family is together my dad is still the alpha even though he's 68 and retired.

I don't think, despite the name that this is actual PUA stuff, at least not the stuff I've heard of. In fact he says there is no such thing as a "Beta." He does have some good points like being a "Renaissance Man" being good at a lot of things. I personally am always trying to improve myself, though not always succeeding as much as I'd like.

He also makes the much needed distinction between well educated meaning earning high degrees and well educated meaning well informed.
