We've all been there. Liked someone before, and it just didn't happen. Or, liked someone, dated them, then somehow, it just crashed. So here are my tips (which may surprise you, and which are really obvious tips, yet I advise everyone secretly do. For the sake of protecting their heart)

Tips when it comes to your "crush"

1) Find out ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE who might have interest in your crush. Or people that might suddenly want your crush, just to compete with you. Prepare yourself for war, just in case. LOVE RIVALS really do come out of nowhere.

2) Look at how long his/her relationship's have lasted. Was he/she the reason for relationship failures?

3) GET TO KNOW his/her FRIENDS! His/her friends will show you a huge part of who he/she is.

4) DON'T PLAY THOSE STUPID GAMES WITH HIM/HER! Because that only gives birth to a temporary relationship. Don't be afraid to get to know the person properly. Just say it confidentially. "I want to get to know you. We should hang out." And if the person rejects that, then that person is full of him/her self. But remember to respect that person's privacy. You need to earn someone's trust. Best way to do that is by being a good person and not a backstabber.

5) Show him/her what you're made of! Sounds typical right? Well actually, this is the type of thing we'd usually advise for people on the sports field, or competing for something in general. This term is used for rivals, but is actually a really great term for "catching the eye of your crush." If you're secretly a great chess player? Show it! You're a great cook? SHOW IT! JUST SHOW IT without showing off. It'll leave an impression on your crush. XD

6) DON'T PLAY INNOCENT BUT THEN BE A PUNK BEHIND CLOSED DOORS! If you truly want "love" then you have to be loving and true! Work on your heart if you have a strong crush. As CRAZY as this may SEEM, guys and girls tend to fall for a person the most, who is a REAL PERSON! SURPRISING?! HUH! (I'm being sarcastic by the way.)

7) Don't listen to your feelings over your logic! DON'T! Feelings can just be hormones after all. They can change any time, they can turn to a new person without you realizing. True feelings emerge from a relationship that has grown from having shared life experiences. True feelings don't actually emerge from having a crush. Just be aware of that.

8) Don't be stubborn and think that you're all innocent. Observe yourself first! Think about the real flaws you have and how they could affect a relationship. Be honest with yourself. Do you have a short temper? Do you get jealous easily? Are you judge mental? Do you have several crushes at once without realizing it? Just lay a book down and truly write down what YOUR imperfections are, and build your self control and remember to work on them.

YOU NEED TO DO THIS IF YOU HAVE A CRUSH! You don't need to be perfect, but you do need to be as charming as you can be. Not only for yourself, but for your crush. It'll help to give potential to a wonderful relationship (ALSO, observe his/her imperfections. Don't be blinded like a fool)

9) You need to observe how this person would treat your friends and family. Very important.

10) Be confident in yourself! Yes! This is very cheesy and everyone says it, but you NEED TO MUSTER UP COURAGE! If you are happy with the person you are, then you will be happy to confess your feelings. And if the person rejects you, then you made a miscalculation, and you two may not have been...or would be a good match yet.

11) Observe how much of a good person he/she is. Is he/she prejudiced against anyone? Is he/she a pushover? Does he/she have self respect? How much self-respect a person has shows how much they will respect you. However, sometimes love can cure a person who has no self respect.

12) PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN YOUR CRUSH IS BEING FAKE OR REAL! Does he/she say those things to other girls/guys? Does he or she actually remember the things you say? Pay attention.

Well, I went to the most sold book of all time (5 billion copies sold), I studied several psychology books, watched too many reality shows for my own good, and read many many biography's and I have even witnessed true love for myself...and they all showed me the same result as what the most sold book of all time showed me.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous. It does not brag, does not get puffed up. It does not behave indecently. It does not look for its own interests. It does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.

To not get jealous in terms of love does not mean not getting jealous of another guy/girl being romantic with your love interest. It means not getting jealous of the person you love. If he/she is better than you in some aspects or whatever.

For love to endure all things doesn't mean there'll never be fights. It just means that there'll always be forgiveness. You get the drift of what I'm try'na cover about that paragraph..right?

Love and crush...are two completely different things. Having a typical crush is merely the same as having an infatuation. Liking somebody for superficial reasons. I know all us adults already know that, but I just had to write it down, for all the teenagers.

True love is selfless and timeless. Just like the love you have for a family member. It will never ever die. Being in love is even deeper than that.
