Are you a jealous freak?

I was talking to my cousin about his relationship and he told me some things that made me wonder...

His girlfriend gets mad at him and says he can't have any friends who are girls. She doesn't force it on him, but she prefers for him not to have any friends who are girls.

He speaks to an old elementary school friend through IM but not often, and they only speak about catching up and stuff, but his girlfriend takes it as a threat. This happens often where she takes another girl as a threat and she often hates on other girls. (Like she gets p*ssed off if he just looks at naked girls on TV sometimes if he stares.)

She has many male friends and speaks to them often, phone calls and all, so its real imbalanced for their relationship because of jealousy issues...

So basically, are you a jealous freak? Are you over protective? What do you think about someones personal space? Do you want his IM and E-mail account to snoop in? Do you want to snatch his diary? haha

Jealousy's not a pretty thing. . . that said, I do get quite jealous when it comes to one guy in particular. But I won't let it on. I know I don't like it when a guy gets all jealous, so I won't act jealous, either.

Him looking at naked girls on tv and stuff like that though, that's different, I couldn't care about that.

What I DO care about is him going out to parties and having drunken skanky chicks flirting with him, it bugs the hell out of me. Heck, sometimes I get jealous when he hangs out with guy friends. But in the end, there's nothing I can do, unless I want to be over-controlling and not let him have any friends, and really, that's no fun for anyone.

Hmm, and I would never snoop in things like his e-mail. There are so many things that might get misinterpreted, and plus, I respect and trust him enough not to need to go digging through those things. He's always told me that he'd tell me anything if I'd just ask, so. . . yeah. :)

That's not right. I will be jealous too of course but if my boyfriend is open and honest about it, I would not do such thing as it can destroy our relationship. She's being insecure and not trusting her boyfriend then in this case. That's not right. Is the guy showing her how much he loves her etc? If not, maybe that's where the insecurities come from but if she's just doing that out of the blue then she has to fix that issue herself. It's not fair too because she has guy friends and hang out etc. why the boyfriend can't do the same thing? Well, if your cousin is ok with this then there should not be a problem right? If this happen to me, I am surely not ok with it.

she is extreeeeeeeeemely insecure then. if I trust a guy I shouldnt need to do that. trust is key in a relationship. sounds like he needs to get out.

I once nearly lost a girl because I was jeaulous. I learned from it: now I don't know any guy who's less jealous than I am.
