Is it cheating if you have an imaginary boyfriend or girlfriend AND a real life SO?

Seriously, lots of people have an imaginary romantic companion who lingers from lonelier times... They can seem quite real, like characters in the mind of a fiction writer. Is it wrong to hold onto imaginary companions after you have a real life SO?

I'm not so sure that it's a normal as you think it might be. And while I wouldn't really consider it cheating because the other person isn't real, I would say that it's not fair to your SO because you are not mentally fully I'm the relationship. My advice would be to start focusing on the one that IS real and don't let a daydream affect your life.
