My bf smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day :/ it's starting to annoy me because I'm getting grossed out :( would you date smokers?

It's almost like his addiction to cigarettes is getting worse everyday :( he always has a cigarette in his hand or a cigarette lit up on the ashtray >.<
i can't kiss him or hug him properly because it just turns me off.. his car is the worst :( even the air conditioner in his car smells like cigarettes 
I really want him to quit smoking! But it's up to him to make the change in himself

Smoking doesn't gross me out nearly as much as the "two packs a day" habit.

Where I live, that would equate to approximately $8 a day (smoking cheap stuff), which is $56 a week. Almost $300 a month, which some people could really use on rent/mortgage/car payment/groceries.

Almost a tank and a half a gas a week, blown on shit you could grow or roll yourself for much cheaper that what these mega corporations would like you to buy.

God forbid you live in Chicago, NYC or Seattle, where cigarettes can be $11/pack.

The health effects are whatever. Totally unnecessary, but car exhaust and the pollution inside your home will kill you just the same. The financial wastes are what really get to me.

I know what you mean as I had the same problem with my boyfriend, he smoked a lot, even when I was with him, but he knows I hate people smoking I hate the smell, it's just gross, but anyway he has stopped smoking for 3 weeks now and so far so good he is using a e cigarette even though that has nicotine in it, it's still as bad as smoking but you don't get that horrible smell what goes with it. But I probably wouldn't date a smoker, but it was different when I met my boyfriend as he wanted to quit.

I am a married woman and one of the requirements for my husband was the he was not supposed to have any addictions. My husband was doing weed and chewing tobacco back in his teens, but now he's not doing any of it. A waste of money, plus really nasty habit to have. In my humble opinion, it's gross and a deal breaker. You should tell him how you feel and either get him to quit or find someone without bad habits.

I wouldn't want to ever date a smoker and certainly not somebody who smokes that much. Have you told him how you feel about his smoking? You're right that only he can change his ways and quit because HE wants to, but hearing that it bothers you and that you're concerned about his health may make him consider quitting or at least cutting back.

Nope I hate smoking and think it's stupid, all it does is kill you there are no benefits. Also it puts my health in danger which I'm not going to do. And worst of all it stinks. Your skin smells like it, breath, clothes, furniture, just everything and I hate the smell

I myself am a smoker, just not a cigarette smoker, I smoke pipes and cigars which are a lot different then cigarettes so for me it would depend on what they smoke. If they smoke cigars or tobacco pipes like myself I wouldn't mind it at all, cigarettes though no way, if you ever talk to pipe smoker, you'll find that cigarette smokers are disliked by us as well lol, them poor folks just can't catch a break lol. Pipe smoking is also a ton more cost efficient, 30 bucks will get you enough tobacco to last a pipe smoker a month or two since a standard full bowl of tobacco lasts 20 minutes to an hour and we never really smoke more then two bowls a day, most of us only smoke one bowl every other day.

No Fcking way would I ever date a smoker. That shit is gross! Smokers mouth smell like Burnt butt.
Fingers stink, hair stinks, their car, house, bathroom, everything stinks.
But what grosses me out the worst is the smoker caugh. Sooner or later they will have that nasty cough that sounds like they are about to spit out a part of a dead lung. I do not want to be there when that nasty shit makes it out of his mouth.

at most i would smoke 3 a day

ps. all the money i have saved on cigs! i can't imagine how much he would save if he cut down a pack!

I wouldn't date a smoker, definitely not one who smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day.
Deny it all you want, but that's the surest way to kill yourself. Not only terrible for your health in pretty much every aspect, but bad for your appearance as well. With the really cherry on top being that all the second hand-smoke is harming those around you to boot.

Smoking, or preferably lack thereof, is my one deal-breaker when it comes to who I would and would not date.

My sister and parents and aunt and uncle and two of my cousins smoke so I've grown up around it my whole life, so I don't really have any issue dealing with it.

I personally don't get the appeal of it, but... not my body.

Since I smoke myself, I would only go out with one smoker. OK, two packs a day is not a lot and some rules can be agreed, but I like smokers and would not accept non-smokers in my home.

On my worst days I smoked about a pack a day. My normal always been 3 cigarettes a day. I didn't smoke since 1 jan 2015 I would date a smoker, but not a heavy smoker like him.
