Cuddling with my guy best friend?

We're friends for half a year now, I'm 17 and he's 18.
We were pretty close from the beginning, and we talk about everything. First we only cuddled when watching a movie, but it happens more regularly now.
He has a girlfriend (long-distance relationship) and she knows that we cuddle sometimes, and he says she's okay with it.

He also tickles me sometimes, holds my hand or plays with it, strokes my back, ...

But we both don't want more than friendship.

So is it normal for a guy with a girlfriend to cuddle a female friend for a really long time, even without watching a movie?

Because everyone in school thinks we're together, even though we keep telling them we're not. And it just made me think...

Bullshit. No chick is cool with that. If she is cool with it then something is PROBABLY wrong. Either she's doing something over there, they came to a deal about this (like an open relationship) or he simply didn't tell her and is lying to you.

The odds of them being COMPLETELY cool with each other tickling, caressing, cuddling late at night with other people sounds like complete BS. The only people cool with this are those that are in an open relationship.

Now be honest here... is your friend hot? Do you find him attractive? Do you have little fantasies that maybe he'll try to kiss you or something? That's honestly what it sounds like, this kind of behavior sounds very sexually charged. I'm not saying there is anything wrong here... I'm just saying that I think you're denying what's really going on here.

your guy friend is using you as a replacement cause his girlfriends long distance
someone here in your situation is going to get hurt.. He is going to take things
further get what he wants off of you than he will move on and you will be just

You shouldn't be cuddling with him if he has a girlfriend. His tickling you, holding your and stroking your back is all flirting with you. I know you said he only wants a friendship with you but it sounds like he wants more than just a friendship because it is not normal to behave like this if you don't have sexual feelings for the person. Sounds like he has sexual feelings for you. I am sure his girlfriend does not know anything about this and she would not be cool about it if she did know. I am not trying to be mean just trying to tell you what is really happing here.
