A 15-year-old Oregon boy, Kameron Howell-Meeke, was hailed a hero after he bravely pushed his new friend, Ellie Fielder, out of the way before a suspected drunk driver ran him over this week.

SAVING A GIRL'S LIFE: Does this girl owe him a shot at dating and does she sound genuine to you when she says they'd be BFF?

Kameron Howell-Meeker was walking with Ellie Fielder, 17, along River Road in Clackamas County outside of Portland when they heard the screeching tire of a pickup truck as it swerved towards them Tuesday.

Suddenly, Ellie felt a shove from Kameron — whom she just met last month at Rex Putnam High School — right before she watched him get hit by the truck and tumble over the hood.

Ellie Fielder, 17, said she owes her life to 15-year-old Kameron Howell-Meeker, who pushed her out of the way before he was hit by a drunk driver.

“I saw my life flash before my eyes. He’s my hero and my lifesaver, because if it weren’t for him, I would not be sitting here today.”

The crash sent the 6-foot-3 Kameron to a local hospital with a broken pelvis, torn ligaments and a compressed spine, the news station reported.

The truck’s driver, Corey Brownlee,

was cuffed at the scene and later charged with driving under the influence and assault, police said.

But Ellie said the crash helped forge a close bond between them.

“I’d be dead,” she told the news station. “He’s going to be my best friend for life.”
