Would you rather be the mistress or the girlfriend?

Just a question. Don't need no self righteous people, saying you'd leave a man that would cheat.
If you loved a man, would you rather be his girlfriend or the woman he cheats with?
This question is purely hypothetical. So you'd have to be one in an inevitable situation.
I would prefer to be the mistress because he preferred me over his lady, I couldn't handle the hurt of being rejected as the girlfriend. I'd rather be desired!!

mistress because she's just getting paid but most likely has guys on the side who would do anything to make her theirs, while the girlfriend is about to be heartbroken when she finds out what an idiot this guy is and will be mad that she wasted her time on him. moral of this answer- either way this guy is losing. the mistress uses him for money, the girlfriend dumps his ass and makes him feel like shit when she finds out.

I get to have all the fun parts of the relationship, without much of the drama and headaches.

At some point, I can move on easy enough.

The girlfriend is much more invested emotionally, and quite possibly financially as well.

Mistress... he'd think about me when he was with his wife, but he'd never think of her when he was with me. Sex will be better for him with his mistress, than with his wife. He would need her... but want, crave and desire me.

That actually sounds logical in an illogical situation. Cheating is bad. However if you were in that situation I suppose it would be better to be the mistress because if you are the girlfriend or wife and he has a mistress... chances are good your relationship is not very good. At least if your the mistress you're getting what you want without really expecting too much more
