Obviously! They essentially have stolen money from the poor bastards. In a fair justice system she would need to pay back all of child support payments while on some form of probation or even jail time.

It's definitely an interesting question. What would happen to the real father? Would he be jailed or have to reimburse the man who's been paying child support?

I don't think it should be a felony but she should be fined and made to pay back the child support.

I agree. That's messed up and they should face charges for fraud, the same as any other scammer.
Personally I wouldn't pay child support until I knew that baby was mine.
It should be treated like any other fraud which garners a similar monetary gain. That would make it a pretty serious fraud.
There is such a thing as a paternity test. If you don't think the child's yours it's up to you to do due diligence.
This whole world is an injustice in a lot of ways. I can't wait for it to pass away.
Good joke, a woman going to prison and serving the same a man.
They should be prosecuted and go to prison.
It is called paternity fraud, look it up.
No but they should have to pay some sort of fine.
Yes they should.
Legislating morality is a slippery slope.
It is. Prohibition more than proved that.
@Marinepilot And marijuana laws.
and sued for costs incurred by the poor man
