Guys, my best friend doesn't remember me?

okay, so, me and my best friend, whos a guy, haven't seen eachother for a year. i understand why, he had GCSE's to study for. we both go to different high schools. he's 14, turning 15 in a couple of weeks and its only been a few months since i turned 13. i saw him at the mall yesterday and i came home crying, not only of humiliation, but the fact that my bestfriend doesn't remember or is possibly avoiding me. i knew his friends really well so when i was making my way over to them, exited to see my best friend again, his friends were like, 'oy *****, you're besties here' and started cheering me and hugging me as we hadn't seen eachother in a few years. i went to hug my best friend last cuz i wanted to hold him the longest as i had missed him. i first stood in front of him and grinned at him even wider than the cheshire cat while he was awkwardly scratching the back of his neck... he was like 'im sorry, do i know you?' when i was about to hug him. i was about to speak when he was like 'i mean, you first call my name and hug all my mates and now you expect me to give you one when i dont even know you' i was on the virge of crying... all his friends were booing him when i started walking away.. i stopped in my tracks, looked back and he was looking at me with a serious look telling me to get lost.. so i did after i said, "i thought you knew me as your best friend, you know the one you wouldn't leave at any cost at primary when i got bullied, you know the one whos name is ******" what should i do.. or if anything, any advice?
