Boyfriend is sick and keeps peeing his pants, how do I help him cope and feel better? And is it normal?

My boyfriend has whooping cough and on the way back from the doctor we picked up his prescription while waiting he had a huge coughing attack and ended up, peeing his pants. He is supper embarrassed and is still down on himself about it because it happened in front of people, I felt so bad for him and comforted him when it happen. To make things worse almost everytime he has a huge coughing attack he pees his pants it hasn't happen in public again but he is still embarrassed. I actually think it's kinda cute that he Is having these little accidents because he almost never vulnerable. Is there anything I can do to help out and make him feel better? Is there anything I can do to prevent the accidents? And is it normal that he is wetting himself because of these attacks or does he have a bladder issue to?

get him depends men's guards they go in the under wear like women's kotex do.
i use them when i know i will not be near a bathroom and if i need to pee very badly i can.
you can pee quite a bit into them with out leaking out.
they will fix him right up when he coughs or just needs to pee he can and no one will know.
and you won't know unless he tells you he peed

Just let him know that it's no big deal. It's "stress incontinence". He might feel more confident if he wears a men's pad (Guards) on days that he's coughing. It is likely to get better as he gets older when the prostate gland enlarges.
