My girlfriend started our relationship by sending a lot of cute texts, now they're rare.

So basically, my girlfriend and I get along incredibly well and have great chemistry whenever we're together and usually have really good conversation via text whenever we're not. But I've noticed that lately she doesn't really send me cute texts anymore. I mean I'll send one to her telling her how she's beautiful and that I'm lucky I've found such a great girl and just going on with how much I care for her every few days, but lately, she's stopped replying with a cute long reply. She'll send a much shorter one than she used to and it'll generally address my text, but she's stopped saying specific stuff like she thinks she's lucky or what a great guy I am. I know I don't have the greatest confidence, which is probably why this bugs me, but I'd just hate to think our relationship has fizzled already. We've been together about a month now, both freshman in college. How can I tell her that her texts have been lacking meaning and not come off as clingy? I don't think that I am clingy, I just think that a cute text deserves one right back, like how she used to reply. It was a good confidence booster and I do miss it. Thanks in advance.

Mmmm my boyfriend was like this, he always used to text me or msn or leave cute messages on Facebook... and then it stopped for about two weeks. Then he dumped me, because he wasn't "sure he was to into the relationship anymore" even though he cried more than I did and then 5 minutes later said that he didn't want to break up. Our relationship has been much better again since. If every thing is fine elsewhere in the relationship, like she still enjoys your time together and is happy when you are around, I would take Moyasu's advice... but if you notice that she's been acting strange and distant, she always seems to be bothered by something or she loses interest in what you say easily, in addition to short texts, I would take it as a warning sign, brace yourself and maybe sit down and talk to her about ways to improve your relationship.

Just let her know. I was one of those "cute text" senders but I eventually toned it down because I thought it would annoy my boyfriend or it would come off as clingy. So if you let her know like "hey I kinda miss those cute texts you used to send" or something...she might be flattered and she might start doing it again. I know I would be really flattered! well in any case, I believe communication is key in any relationship, so if you have any issues you should be bringing it up to her :)

Uh NEWSFLASH! You are clingy. And way in over your head! Maybe the attention might be a bit overwhelming for her...but I doubt she lost interest. Just fall back a little and allow the relationship to reach to the level of maturity. {Which does not result from communicating via text, but more in person}. Your relationship is not over...so don't worry...it just needs to transcend to a new level. Allow your relationship to breathe every now and then.

You should break up with her, she is being entirley unreasonable by replying with a short reply as opposed to a long cute reply. Is this the only problem in the relationship, geez things aren't that bad, people change, you can get settled in a relationship...text messages aren't everything...
