started seeing a guy he recently broke up with his ex, wasn't a problem at first but i wasn't entrurely comfortable because i knew they were still in contact so i put up a wall in some respect
i found out he was still in touch more than a knew and put a stop to it, but then we started talking more seriously and he said he's not ready for a relationship and that it wasn't just about sex but that he didn't feel a proper connection with me

he then gor bacj with his ex but still wants to see me

what does the phrase proper connection mean to you>

sounds like an excuse to me. But I don't know why he still wants to see you after seeing that and after being back with his ex. What does he want to accomplish? Unless he wants to use you for money or sex? since you're older than him.

In normal terms, I would say it means that you guys just don't click... sometimes with some people, you just know it. You talk to each other a lot about this and that... and everything. You click. But it seems here... he wants to use you and his ex.

Well it's interpretative, meaning everyone is looking for a certain feeling with a potential partner (or current) and if they don't feel what they want to about them, they decide they don't have that "connection" with them.
