Which is worst to you, emotional cheating or physical cheating?

Question

Right so emotional cheating is being in love with someone else but not doing anything sexual with the person just keeping it in and talking to them and maybe spending to much time with that person..

Physical is sleeping with another person but its only for sexual needs and you don't care about the person there's no attachment there..

From my experience women tend to think emotional cheating is worse and men tend to think physical is worse.. please explain your reasons

Emotional is far worse.
Having said that, though, physical+emotional cheating go hand in hand. I can't imagine a circumstance involving my boyfriend doing anything physical with a girl that doesn't involve any emotional cheating (ie. lying, being sneaky about what he was doing/who he was hanging out with, on top of the coup-de-gras of the betrayal). So.. in a world where everything was black+white and it was somehow possible for him to hook up with someone else while being 100% upfront about it with me, I'd say emotional is way worse. That's obviously not gonna happen, though.

Physical cheating would piss me off more. Emotional cheating would hurt more. Emotional would mean that he is bonding with someone else and could possibly fall in love with her, and once that happens it's over. Physical cheating would mean he was being a selfish piece of **** but it wouldn't mean that he fell out of love with me.

Although physical cheating is worse to do, emotional cheating is scarier for me. When they physically cheat on you the answer is clear - they're a jerk and you break up with them. When it's emotional cheating there are a lot of unknowns and it can be a long and painful process

In my opinion both are equally important in a relationship. both the party should be able to maintain a exclusive relationship in terms of both Emotion and Physical.

both are horrible. so really none is especially better than the other. but emotional is probably worse. physical you can try to rationally chalk up to the human nature for sexual satisfaction. emotional cheating (which obviously can include physical cheating) may lead to a greater sense of personal rejection

Physical cheating will always be worse.
Emotions are ever changing and they move quickly. You can comeback from emotional cheating rather easily, with enough care.

With emotional cheating you can develop emotions so quickly and not even realize it. You'll naturally spend more time with them, because it feels good. It's only when you start to feel like you need to hide it that it dips into the realm of being a problem and it's easy to justify to yourself you're not doing anything wrong.

With physical cheating you've already done the deed. You've already disrespected your partner and the relationship. You've already broken trust. You've already done wrong and you actively made the choice to do so. As opposed to sort of falling into the feelings you have with that other person that can be course corrected.

It's easier and more common to emotionally cheat, because of justifying to yourself you're not doing anything wrong. But physical cheating is still worse.

Can't accuse someone for their Thoughts. Your thoughts are your business, whether for better or worse. Many people don't even have full control over their thoughts. However, one can certainly be held responsible for their Actions.

At any rate, I wouldn't get into a relationship with someone just to imagine different ways of how she could cheat on me.. then again, maybe that's poopular, what do I know?

To me, emotional is worse. If she got drunk and had sex, I would know she is just a dumb slut. Emotional takes more time and hurts more.
Either way she is gone. If we had kids though, she shouldn't expect to live because nobody would take them from me.

Emotional is pretty bad if the other party dont know about the cheating but suspect something. That can really mess with your mind. However so can all cheating. Physical is worse. Most guys can get over their girlfriend having a crush on someone else and having an emotional bond with him.

Because the way the male ego works, the boyfriend will be thinking "yeah but I'm the one she's fucking and sexual with, poor guy is wasting his time".

However, if she does get sexual with him, that shit is painful and is almost impossible to forgive.

Emotionally, sometimes people like someone or have a crush but decide what they have is better for them. Physical cheating they have gone through with it. Even a drunken hook up is unforgivable in my book.
