I think my best friend ruined my chances with my crush, can you guys help me?

So I work with this guy that I've had a crush on for a while and I always thought he never liked me or anything like that and my friend would always push me to talk to him. So a few days ago I called into work and my co worker texted me saying that he asked why I called in and so I was sort of happy about it and told me friend and she asked me if I've talked to him. I said no. So she went and talked to him herself without me knowing. Asking him if he did and all that he said no and he had no idea what was going on. And so my friend said back "well this is awkward" and he replied saying what and she never showed me the rest of the convo. I really like this guy and I'm a senior in high school and he's in college and I don't know what to do or say.

You have a best opportunity to fire a convo with the guy. Go directly to him. Be gentle, go to him and very politely ask him what did ur frnd told him. And then start conversation. Soon change the topic and become friend with him. If he tells u something which is unexpected to u. Tell him right away that she jokes around and it is fake. I think tou got what I am saying...
Dont lose this opportunity.
Remember one thing, If u can't be her best frnd then u can't be her lover. Ur first task is to make him best frnd so go to him. Talk to him... Show the courage or lose him. This is all u have now...
