Guys, What happens emotionally, for men, in Long term FWB?

This guy and I have been sleeping together for a year. But first need to know, I'm 34 and he's 51. Yes big age difference, but he's settled, single, and everything I desire in man.
We talk everyday, confide in each other, support each other and seek advice from each other.
We go out, watch movies, have dinner. We do all the things couples do, but we aren't a couple.
I'm a female, so obviously I've developed some serious emotional attachment. But where does he stand now? (With his age and maturity taken into full consideration.) After everything, I don't feel like I'm just a sex hookup. It's been going on for too long, and we do way too much other stuff together.
Is he emotionally involved or am I just hoping for too much?

Everyone is different but it's completely possible he doesn't want anything beyond the current agreement. The "way too much other stuff" is most likely just the Friends part of the Friends with Benefits relationship lol.

This is the exact reason you should enter into these kind of agreements unless you're completely sure you can detached your emotions from the situation
