Once a player, always a player?

Most female friends of mine believe this amusing little saying to be true. For those of you more promiscuous males out there, would you say that you're flirtatious sexual natures can never exactly change? But at the most, be slightly *modified*? Or with the right female there's certainly hope at a new more 'disciplined' man?

From my experiences, at your age, it's true. I have an older friend though who was a total player but he got his second girlfriend ever a few months ago and they are doing great. However, and this is very important, he wanted to change. You can never "modify" or "discipline" a player yourself. If you try, you will end up getting played. He has to want to change.

I don't think it's true I mean I like to flirt for sure and a lot too when I'm single but when I find a girl I'm crazy over I'll still talk to all the people I've made friends with but I never flirt with someone else while I'm in a relationship unless its harmless like a smile or telling jokes but then again I do that a lot without trying to flirt
