How to say goodbye to my boyfriend when I leave for rehab?

How do I say good bye to my boyfriend of 3 years ? I have to go to rehab for a couple months and I'm going to miss him so much! We spend everyday together. I know it's what's best for me and my situation and I know if he loves me he will wait - but why do I feel so sad ? I feel like I'm ditching him and I don't know it just really hurts. When I get out I'll be a different person because I'll be clean and he won't be. So it's pretty much like this is the end of the road for us. It breaks my heart.

You aren't going back to rehab just to have someone hook you back in once you get out. Like it or not, that's how it is. I don't know much about your situation, but as a complete outsider, I think it is best for you to have some real fun (drug free) with him before you go (like some amazing sex) but to make it clear to him that you will be walking another path when you get out and that unless he takes the same rehab at the same time, that you will not be talking again. As in TALKING. Not dating, merely TALKING. Talking will be off limits! It's hard, but being clean off of hard drugs is so important that you must do this. If he wants to be with you again, he has to walk the same path, or otherwise accept to depart from you. You have no choice. You can do this, but the ball is in his field as far as this is concerned. As far as you are, you must be strong enough to do this and tell him that you won't see him again.

By making the right decision each minute of your day. Focus on your long term goals - find some if you don't have any. That future doesn't involve an addiction to drugs. You just gotta think of that every moment, and do everything you can to not think about drugs. Avoiding people who are into them is a good way to do that. Having clean friends around who support you is another thing that can help. Being strong can also be about tricking yourself into a clean lifestyle, by avoiding these things.

Just let him know the situation you find yourself in. Your relationship shouldn't be thrown away simply because of a rehab session or anything like that. Which is odd to say the least. I have never heard of anyone going into rehab before. WTF did you do? PS hot pic. Porn star?
