Do you ever walk up to a girl whom you've never spoke to and tell them you want to have sex with them! I think you would be told to go away or called ca pervert, you have to become friendly first becoming a friend, before sexual attraction is aware between friends
Platonic does not mean friendly, it means "not physical", so friends with benefits are non-platonic friends. But this is a sexual thing, it has nothing to do with romantic love.
@-Asca- is right. Romantic love, sexual attraction and friendship are separate concepts. Sometimes people experience more than one of these concepts together with the same person. Other times they are completely separate.
Lets say you become acquainted with someone you meet in a nightclub and chat for a while. Then they agree to go home with you for sex. (A more plausible scenario than just walking up to someone and immediately asking if they want to fuck). This would be an indication of a mutual sexual attraction. Being friendly with someone does not immediately make you friends. Friendship is something that develops over time and requires sone kind of common ground such as mutual interests in intellectual pursuits, hobbies, sports, etc.
@WalterBlack yes thats usually how it happens. Women have straight up asked me for sex though without me even saying a word to them before. I dont think it would work if it was reversed though

It happened for my mom, and I don't know anyone happier and in a better relationship than my parents
Not at all, there are variations of love and that's ok
Sure. I guess that's more long term than a relationship just based on lust.
it happens to the best of us everyday, more so than you'd think
It can with telling your desired partner what you want.
It hardly works it did not work for me with a guy I know for 4 years and we even gone out on dates
All love should be romantic platonic or not... it just adds a beautiful side to love this word called romance :)
I sure do hope it can. Im in a similar situation and I love him and I think he feels the same way
Be careful. You need to know for sure before you let your heart fall in love with him.
That depends on women , guys don’t have much to say in term of dating , sex...
I think anything is possible
That would be the best kind I feel
I agree friends before lovers
@bklynbadboy1 too bad a lot of guys nowadays skip 1 and head to 5
I agree
Yea tats how a son of a bitch took my girl
I'm sorry to hear that
Yes, as they call it now friens with benifits
Friends with benefits is two people who aare sexually attracted to each other but dont want a relationship.
Well think about question asked, that is called platonic relationship!
Platonic means you have no sexual feelings, like most people have with their siblings - you love them but dont want to have sex with them
Platonic = friend. so platonic love can become romantic love
Great
Platonic means without sexual desire, if you have sexual desire for the other person its not platonic.
Im sure it can develop but usually not. You either find the other person sexually attractive from the start or you dont
Nope because you have to be friendly towards her first, therefore becoming a friend (platonic) to feel sexual attraction
