Why do guys in relationships still check other girls out?

My boyfriend admitted that when he is just with the guys (all of his friends are single) they all talk about girls they think are hot. I wouldn't mind as much if it were celebrities they were talking about but he said it's girls they know, girls who go to our school, etc. It makes me feel uncomfortable knowing that there are girls he sees everyday at school that he supposedly thinks are hot and talks about how hot t hey are with his friends.

do all guys do this? why would a guy in a serious relationship who loves his girlfriend go and talk about other girls he thinks are hot?

I had the same discussion with my boyfriend because I simply said "danng he is cuute !" and he got mad. (I said it about a celeb). However, than he confessed that when he is with his guy friends he doesn't "check out" other girls, but still has an opinion of them ...

I think that is a smart-as* answer of saying, yes I do check them out, please don't break up with me. LOL.

It bugged me at first, but he NEVER does it when he is with me (and he shouldnt, if he respects you) so I don't really get that mad by it.

Bottom line: we are all human, as long as he doesn't act on it, its fine !

All guys do that. Its perfectly normal. If it bothers you ask him to turn it down around you or not to mention it, but he is probably not going to stop doing it.

Don't try and deny girls don't do the same thing. I'll bet you have as well.

Still, most guys do cause well, they see something they look. I don't really "check out" in a sexual way, but I look all around me at everyone. Guys, girls, etc. Just like to observe.

Seriously, doesn't mean guys are going to dump you and jump them cause they look at anyone.

i honestly don't. like you said, I look around or whatever and observe ppl, but I don't really think "he's hot" and I especially don't go and tell my first friend about a "hot" guy I saw.

Ah well then ya, I mean I don't go around saying "wow check out the ass on her" or whatever like a friend of mine even when I'm not in a relationship. Doesn't mean I don't notice a person is attractive, I just don't think about it beyond the first seeing and then move on. What's truly hot to me tends to be personality and if I'm with a girl well... she's likely to have that.

It's what guys do, but he's just window shopping. Ever walk by a really hot guy and think, "Wow, he's hot?" Just because you are attracted or look at someone hot doesn't mean you are going to dump your current significant other for the "eye candy." Don't worry about it.

I saw this on MANSWERS and askmen and msn... it's part of our 'chemical makeup' or something... it's just how our body performs haha... whether we do it consciously or subconsciously.

Yes, pick up a box of kleenex and cry about it. All guys do this. Some guys somewhere are probably talking about how hot you are too.
