What's the silliest reason you have seen people rejecting someone for relationships?

I know a woman who struggled to find a husband because two of her toes were missing, they were cut off when she had an accident in her childhood. She was 28 when she finally got married (whereas most girls in her region get married before even turning 18 so it's very very late) and her husband constantly cheated on her.

It's true that there were other issues like she grew up in extreme poverty, appearance wise she wasn't very pretty either, but I've still seen women in similar conditions getting married early anyway. Her missing toes were seriously seen as a 'major' defect and I can't wrap my head around why anyone would do that.

Being more intelligent than them... had this happen twice. At least at the time it seemed silly. Now, I agree.

The first time was with a women who specially said she was seeking a smart guy. Well, apparently my vocabulary had her, and I quote, “regularly looking up the meaning of the words I used in the encyclopedia.” Which frankly, I didn’t say it, I only thought it - “You mean dictionary, right?” Anyway, she continued with, “I am used to being always the smartest in the room but with you I feel like an airhead. I don’t like not feeling like the smartest so, goodbye.”

The next I went to a movie with and was explaining some of what was going on for her during the movie then after it ended. Anyway, as I walked her back to her car she tells me, “I am a smart girl. Perhaps not the smartest girl but nonetheless, I am smart. You ____, are ridiculously smart. This going to be a hurdle for women with you. Thank you ____.” That was the last we spoke.

My last girlfriend we would go back and forth giving our perspective on who was brighter. I felt she was. She insisted I was significantly smarter and definitely more wise. Honestly, I don’t know who was right nor does kt really matter because she had a beautiful mind I adored regardless who was more right. What I do know is that I do seem to fit best with women who lean more on the cerebral side whilst being attractive. They are out there, but even that is only part of the allure for me.

My mother once told me that she wouldn't date a guy that sends her a first message that says "Hey, what's up?" The reason she takes offense to that because she feels that the first messages should be more personally engaging. And not something that he could copy and paste to every woman he chooses. It's silly to me, but probably not silly to older people or people with entitlement issues.

I have seen someone reject a guy cuz he didn't liked the pink color and refused to buy his clothes in that specific shade citing guys will make fun of him (and I am pretty sure they will).
I was dragged in to the situation from female in question cuz he was constanlt contacting her and when I tried to reason with her about it cuz guy was making valid points,
She replied Ohhhh its important cuz "I said so" and boy should do anything girl says without 2nd thoughts...…I was disguised by her reply cuz men are not your slaves anyway I started ignoring her and we grew apart

How about we got on this subject at work the other day. We went around the table sharing what we thought and somebody asked her. She said well anyone with kids. I said really she said yep dealbreaker for me. I wonder if thats why she didn't have anything to with him? He was married though so each their own. Some women will still be friends with a guy and some won't.
