Girls, What would you do if your boyfriend/husband told you that he had a hair/haircut fetish that he has been hiding from you?

For those who are unfamiliar with what a hair fetish is: basically people who have this enjoy playing with long hair or in some cases enjoy cutting it, whether this be just a little bit or a lot. I am asking this question bc not a lot of people have this fetish and I am afraid to tell my girlfriend about it. She lets me touch her hair but I would enjoy brushing it, playing with it, and occasionally trimming it. However, I am afraid that she would find this to be weird and that she would break up with me. I've liked to play with long hair since I was about 3 years old, so it’s not going away. I always felt like this was a weird fetish to have, especially since only 7% of the world has it, and I’ve tried to “cure” myself of it but every attempt has failed. If you think this is weird, that’s ok, I’ve accepted it; I just don’t want my girlfriend to leave because of it. If that’s the case, then I will just continue to hide it like I have for years.

This fetish would normally not be any worse than a great many others that are much more perverted and lewd than this one.

However, the fact that you asked this question under the topic "Sexuality" leads me to believe that this fetish is indeed of the more lewd one and therefore, to me, a total red flag and no go.

The reason is that people that cannot control their sexual impulses or that need a fetish to live them out are a potential danger to the partner. What prevents a guy from just chopping all the hair when the girl is sleeping. Not only would that cause a psychological disbalance for the girl but it is potentially a serious issue of hurting her with scissors.

To me, that would be too much of a risk to take.

Thank you for your response! I meant to put this under relationships but it somehow got changed. I understand what you are saying about being potentially out of control, and there are guys with this fetish who are indeed out of control. But for me, I’ve had it for so long that I have learned to control myself really well. It’s more about making my girlfriend happy and pampering her that I get the enjoyment from.

2nd. You know that in a great number of religions, touching the head of people is an insult and not everyone appreciates to be touched. I would certainly not allow it because it would make me feel more of an object than a person.
