Hasn't Texted me all day?

After 3 days of arguing my boyfriend and I came to terms that we would take things slow. Last night when he got home he texted me goodnight and told me he loved me. But today he hasn't texted me all day. He broke his phone when we got into an argument so he can't text me like normal (instead we emailed each other). I didn't want to email him first because I am assuming he needs space. But I want to make sure he is okay, I just feel if I was important enough maybe he would check up on me first. He is also not the type of guy who waits for me to text or anything. Should I continue to give him space?

If he's not the type to wait for you to text first then yeah, it's probably best to give him space. Given you've been having arguments, sometimes a little breather is needed before being able to come back and work on things together with a fresh mind.
