Underwear on my boyfriend room? What do I do? please?

Question

I have been dating my boyfriend since Jan, started talking in Dec (now is end of March by the way). He says he loves me and even gave me his apartment key. He is sweet to me and wants me to meet his parents. The problem is one day I stayed at his house when he was not there. In a box in a drawer I found underwear from another girl. Now, I do not think he is cheating, but perhaps from a previous relationship. I decided that the best way to go about it, as I did not know if I shoud confront him, was two weeks later to describe to him the scenario as if happened to my friend and see his reaction. So basically tell him my friend found a box with underwear inside in her bfs room. He then said that was a terrible situation and could not think why someone would do that. That the person may have forgotten it or that maybe the person is obsesses with their past relationship. Then of couse I asked if he has ever done something similiar or kept such items, he said no. I do not know what to do. Should I break up with him? Check if he has thorwn the underwear now? Confront him? Help. I like him too. PS: he moved to where I live from out of state in like September or October. So he either moved the box with him or maybe if from somone before Dec, I think the second choice is more unlikely as there were notes in the box too from years ago.

he liked her and still has feelings for her otherwise he would had thrown the box out. either that or the underwear could be his and he could be transgender and is afraid to tell you. if it's the first what you should do before you break up with him is force him to wear that underwear out in public and have him post pictures of himself in that underwear on the internet on his social media account and on yours and keep those photos as blackmail in case you need it down the road in the future then break up with him.

Do this in exact order. 1. Check and see if thrown away. If yes, something fishy is going on, if No 2. “ Accidentally rediscover them” then confront him. Judge his response if he's being truthful or telling a lie. It could be cheating, but it could also be a misunderstanding and he forgot about them from a past relationship and he was unaware

I say let it go because you don't have concrete proof that he cheated on you, and it sounds like he might have a panty fetish or they were from a previous relationship. If you mention it, he's likely gonna think you were snooping.
