Would you rather prefer getting cheated on or asked for an open relationship?

Scenario: Your partner either fantasizes about other people or is starting to like someone else.

Would you rather:
a) get cheated on... they didn't want to tell you because they thought ''ignorance is bless'' but then you find out later on
b) get asked for an open relationship (they tell you straight out ''I want to sleep with others'' or ''I'm starting to like someone else, I would like an open relationship'')

Between those two options (both obviously will hurt) which one would you prefer? Pick one.

For either option I'd dump her tbh.

The whole open relationship thing is fiction to me. A person is either faithful to their partner or they aren't, so to me this reads as; "would you rather be cheated on? or be warned before they cheat so you can dump them first to avoid catching whatever diseases the third wheel might have?"

So of course it's the latter, either way the relationship is over, at least with option B I can start a new relationship with someone else.

yeah at least with option B, they aren't wasting your time and basically telling you ''I'm gonna do it, take it or leave it''. That means they're being fair and at least giving you a chance to decide. Now if someone stays and agrees, then they can't complain if it happens.
