I really hate texting guys, even my boyfriend- unless the conversation is either funny, interesting, lovey dovey or to make plans. This is why I hate the talking stage 😂 it’s so boring until you get comfortable enough to say anything u want
I mean as protection till know they're real but anyone that eventually wouldn't give you their number is someone I wouldn't waste much time on... Not if it's a person trying to date
Texting is but one form of communication and it's what we are all doing here 😅 however it's a form and not the best form yet a form that can be used along with talking and being in person
True, but you can't know if their laugh is cute or annoying. You can't see/learn if their actions match their words. Words are empty without the actions that back them up...
My preference is face to face communication first. Then telephone, as a last resort text. That's just for " I'm going to be late" or something like that.
I prefer face-to-face conversation and if that is not possible I like to call. I use any form of electronic communication for business purposes or on sites like this.
Exactly! Calling is more personal, we make time for our job, for social media but not for the prime we're supposed to care about🤔 texting is for short communications not for serious conversations or have the whole relationship by text, what kind of relationship is that really?

Comfort... I wonder why when they don't understand they don't just ask their SO but ask us here instead XD
Lol right! "What's he thinking"?
Well let me just look into my crystal ball and tell you🤣
Ugh, I think this whole community knows how I feel about texting...👎👎
Same here
I agree with what you say but I can express what I think more easily with texts.
I can understand that
Texting isn't communication any more than gossip is conversation.
True
It's convenient and better than not interacting when we can't see the other person.
And we can sometimes get the emotions through text, but still, it have a big risk in communicating the wrong message
When can't see the person can still call them tho
What if they don't give you their number 😢.
"Only Facebook, boy. I won't give you my number" 😭
I mean as protection till know they're real but anyone that eventually wouldn't give you their number is someone I wouldn't waste much time on... Not if it's a person trying to date
Yeah. They aren't
Because it is easy and you can clarify misinterpretations
How hard is it to talk. Texting requires more time than talking does
Not for me, I can just flip to them send them a 2 second text and go back to something else
Texting is but one form of communication and it's what we are all doing here 😅 however it's a form and not the best form yet a form that can be used along with talking and being in person
Because it is lazy and because everyone else is doing it.
I
Isn't everyone else is doing it more a kid excuse🤣🤣
It's mostly kids that are doing this.
Not these days a lot of 20-30 somethings do it as well
to me they are kids
True that
Efficiency and convenience.
(Though I don't disagree with what you said. I'm just stating the reasons why people do it.)
👍👍
Also, for the record, I personally prefer texting. (Though other methods of communication are great as well!)
I agree 100%. Makes no sense to me. They clearly don't like each other enough to call each other if that's the case.
Right!
Because the young cannot communicate face to face or with the phone. They cannot handle other’s emotions
I believe you're right. But the less they try, they'll never learn. With all this technology were going backwards instead of forward
Because they're too lazy to communicate in a meaningful way, and if YOU misunderstand, it's not MY fault.
Yet people do it on here all the time. Call people triggered when they're not. Talking you hear someone's tone that you don't get by text...
I know darlin. That's why it's called a "phone" !! LOL
Smartass😛🤣
You like my smart ass, don't deny it !
Sometimes🤣
It keeps you on your toes more often than not, beauty !
Till old lady does a faceplant lol
I never understood that either. I prefer to call my partner and talk on the phone. So many things could be misinterpreted through text
Right! And shared laughter isn't the same with a LOL or a 🤣
I agree 👍👍💯
And especially when you're just getting to know someone, how well can you really get to know them just by text🤔
You can get to know what their likes and dislikes are but it's more personable talking on the phone or in person.

Again, agree!
Totally agree. Text is so short and prone for miscommunication, is amazing the content people convey using them.
Right!

Such a great question I would love to know myself far rather talk personally
Same here
Don't know. I've never sent nor read a text in my life. I don't see any advantage for it over talking on the phone or sending emails.
Lazy and afraid. I prefer a conversation the old fashioned away over the phone or in person.
Right! Same here!
I'm not sure but it has caused me some serious problems.
