My boyfriend wants to hang out with a girl he has had a history with, should I be concerned?

my boyfriend got invited to hang out with some friends, but a girl who I have always worried about was going to be there. She would always flirt with him during class knowing good and well we are together. He never entertained it or anything, but I just don’t trust the girl and I’m not really comfortable with him hanging out with her. Another little detail is that a few years ago he almost dated her, he says it was nothing but to me it matters. I wasn’t invited to hang out with this group because the people hosting it don’t like me, which I’m going to assume that’s the influence of the girl since I used to be close with them too. Should he hang out with the group if she is there? Should I not worry? I really do trust him but it’s her Intentions with him I worry about

So, the bigger question is, do YOU want HIM? if you do, have you made it clear how much you do love and adore him? Is he the most important thing in your life? Does he know that? In other words, what are YOU doing to compete? To solidify your relationship.

And if he's not your everything, cut him loose so you can find one that is.

Frankly it’s a badly worded question and no don’t worry. He’s been invited to hang out with friends. Just make your own plans so you are not sitting around overthinking. If this girl was any threat she could communicate anytime outside of the party.

That’s a great point to bring up that if she were really a threat she would have tried something already. I’m trying my best not to overthink this, which isn’t easy, but I definitely feel better about it now.

Wanna improve your relationship? Tell him after the party that you had some concerns she was there but that he has proven he loves you through his actions and that you are grateful he’s your boyfriend. Then plan a romantic date with him to have something to look forward to.
