My boyfriend wants space?

My boyfriend and I had a stupid breakup because he was overwhelmed that we spend so much time together. It seemed like it was very out of the blue and he was having a breakdown. (We about to be seniors in college). That was last Saturday, then Monday night he said he didn't know if the breakup was what he wanted and now he wants space. But he has called me so many times telling me exactly what he's doing and that he misses me but still needs his space. I've been TRYING to ignore him but its hard when he calls. I didn't contact him Wednesday or Thursday, but he called me Thursday night to reassure me what he has been up to and that he isn't seeing other girls.

So anyways, he's been telling me all week that he wants to hang out and talk Saturday (today). He seemed pretty eager to see me... but I'm hesitant because I don't want to see him if he's just going to say its not going to work out. Last night he went out with his friends in Miami to Eleven which is a strip club. I wonder what is going through his head.
