Love is a set of emotions and behaviors characterized by intimacy, passion, and commitment. That first stage of being in love, that infatuation is just chemicals in your brain that make you feel good. dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphins. Beyond that love is just commitment, patience, kindness, and selflessness. Love is how you chose to act towards that person.
Just because love creates chemicals in your brain, doesn’t mean it’s fake. For example, food does the same thing and that doesn’t mean food is fake. We all know food is very real.
I'm not saying love isn't real, I'm saying that it doesn't work like Hollywood portrays it. The grandiose romanization of "true love" that Hollywood portrays is a fairy tale.
Among adults, it's extremely rare, but we see true love every day. Just look at the mothers, and/or fathers, who would do anything to give their children the best lives possible. That's true love.
Not rare for social people young or old you need to put yourself out there at any age.. usually happens when you not expecting it. Younger people have more people in there life makes things easier.
We all have experienced true love at least by the time we are 20yo, A lot of us just have trouble having the other other person feeling the same way and keeping it that's all.
Notebook is based on a novel which was inspired by a real life romance, but it have a lot of fictional elements and is not exactly justified. One guy was made a fool
Ryan Gosling isn’t that attractive to me. That's not the point of the movie though, its the context and pull of their emotions. Which is why it’s also bittersweet as they pass together as an older couple. It is just a movie, but a good one.
@dustybiker OK but apparently you missed the whole point of my post. The two actors and actress are not reality! The storyline isn't even reality. She wouldn't have left all that money🤣🤣🤣. But she would sneak out and f*** Godling on the side. 🤣

Pretty fucking rare, as far as I'm concerned! I only found it once in my entire life and even THAT only lasted a few years!!
Try picking up the sun and holding it in your hands. Then you will have your answer.
It’s rare because so many miss the true love they are experiencing and throw it away
True love is a fairy tale and doesn't actually exist.
That’s false. Just because you’ve never seen or experienced something, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
Let me show you it exists. Come with me and take my hand.

We aren’t all lucky enough to experience the notebook type of love which is why I say it’s rare.
The note book is a movie... it's no more real than Cinderella, or Pride and Prejudice.
Yeah right! The notebook happens in real life.
When there’s soo many toxic relationships. It’s hard to believe when true love is genuine.
Also The Notebook is stupid
Not rare at all. You can have it many times in your life. True doesn't mean just one if that's what you thought

It's more common that you realize. If yours are toxic and failed it's time to look in the mirror.

One day you’ll find your summer romance and come back here professing having found true love.
Haa 😅, a summer romance at this age? That time have passed.
Your ratio of toxic to decent is probably about right , it is rare. For me true love = ferrets
It 's hard to find but once you find it it's a feeling like no other. ❤
Love is love. There is no 'true ' to it. If you love, you do. Otherwise you don't.
It's like winning a lottery ticket.
Rare. Not many women look like Rachel McAdams. And not many dudes look like Ryan Gosling. 🤣

It's rare so if you find it cherish it 🌹
It's very hard to find out in this world
I think it's rarer than that.
Pretty rare but I’ve had it more than once
More than one true love?
@Tstrbrainer yes.
I can relate
