Can long distance relationships work or are they a waste of time?

So me and my long distance boyfriend have been together 8 months and he lives in America while I'm in England. My question is Can long distance relationships work and if they can are they supposed to be this difficult.

relationships take some work and it was hard at times. gotta work through the challenges. That’s true living in same street because we are all different and have to learn to communicate. If you have resources to be in person then I’d say you have a chance. Else may not be reality.

Can work but VERY RARELY. Needs a lot of trust, communication, understanding and support. If you are going to be in one you gotta decide when you two will eventually be together. How long does it take, it's totally up to you decide but you should have everything pre-planned.

Anyone I have known has really struggled with LDRs. They are tough because you have to have a lot of trust and communication, two things that are hard to get when you don't see each other.

Just my opinion that they are typically not worth it unless a solid relationship was already established and it became LDR out of circumstances.

Mine didn't and I swore it off but I've seen other success stories. It does take a lot of patience, understanding and faithfulness if it's to work. The times you spend away from each other are the hardest cause the physical component is missing , like touching , kissing etc,

I’ve been in a long distance relationship for two years now. She’s in Australia and I’m in America. It really does work if you’re both totally okay with the time schedule or even flexing it. Her and both love the same games and due to Covid we use VRChat to see each other. Hopefully next month we finally meet! I wish you luck!

I don’t do long distance relationships, but I don’t see how it couldn’t work. If you and him are willing to meet in the middle and make it work why not?

It rarely works out, I had LDR and I found out later after he come to spend time in my country for a month that he cheated on me while we in a relationship

Any relationship could work if both people work to keep it together.
