If not then I don't know depends on the argument. Usually one should listen to each other's points to resolve a argument, the only time it's acceptable to not if one just needs to cool down so they tell you to F off and go cool down before coming back so then you can both talk grounded to each other.
F off could be replaced by any anger word if that so happens to be dog for them that's fine by me. But again if there just doing that 24/7 and never listing then yeah break up.

Yes I would breakup with anybody who thinks dogs can be derogatory. Dogs are like good people
