I was talking to my boyfriend on the phone and brought up something from days ago that we already addressed and got super mad at me for doing that, and immediately said "you're fucking stupid" and I said "why am I stupid?" (sarcastic, I know I'm not stupid but I was asking essentially why he got so damn triggered)
"because you just caused us to not talk to each other for a week" and then hung up on me. Not only is silent treatment abuse (not just by my standards but you can search it up, there is scientific evidence backing the impact is has on the brain it triggers pain receptors) but I think that is such a disgusting way to talk to somebody you are with, or anyone for that matter.
and if you are going to say it was my fault for bringing up something I should not have, spare me, I dont give a fuck whose fault it is, my focus is the way he talks to me when he is mad, the words and insults he chooses to use. I already know I should have dropped the subject. But, what is your opinion? Should I just never speak to him again?
