@MikeInHawaii We are both military (I'm now ex-military and she's about to retire), but I'll have to admit, she scares me. I had to buy those orange dummy rounds and make her practice loading, dry fire routines, and basic safety. The little shit still confuses her so I really need to take her to a range... for instance, my Walther P-22 loads itself just by pulling the trigger, while the Glock has to have the slide pulled back to load that first round. At this point, I think I'd only trust her with the shot gun or the Walther because of the same issue and her lack of physical strength to load that first round.
I have a gun, so does hubby. I hope we never need use it in defense bit I think of it like a condom. I'd rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!
Not as long as he is the level headed, mentally stable, even tempered, good guy with a gun that you love! He might save both of you someday with his gun. More confrontations are supposed to be settled without a shot being fired.
Lol if you came to me and told me their was an issue with the fact I have a gun in my home, you would get dumped quick. Infact I have two different weapons in my house.
Depends on your local laws. The country where I am from requires it to be stored in a safe, separately from the ammo, with a permit. If you suspect he's breaking any laws, have a chat about it.

I have a P-22, Glock 9mm, AR-15, and a shotgun... and my wife has nothing to worry about.
Is she trained on them, too?

No, but if anyone tries to enter the house with malicious intent, they should probably be worried.
Ask him to teach you how to use it, i bet it will be fun.

yes i would worry. if a gun is pulled and the other person has one, you'll be in a gun fight
Not if it’s in a gun safe and he’s trained to use it. But if it isn’t then yeah I’d be concerned.
Why? He has a car too. Should you feel threatened by THAT?
My girlfriend has a car AND a pretty impressive collection of kitchen knives. Should I worry about that?
I am so going to start using this in future arguments about guns.
@D_Bone_Steak Yeah--the problem here is murderous intent.
Ask him to take you shooting at the range. Take a safety course and get a permit, it’s very empowering and it might just save your life someday.

You Gotta Pump Those Numbers Up, Those Are Rookie Numbers.
@DarkWinterNights lol I can't see what I need anymore for hahaha
I have a couple of guns. My wife only cares about the one in my pants
If he uses good safety techniques and does not wave it around there is nothing to worry about,
Why should you be. That gun might take down a mass shooter
yes you should , guns and people dont mix well. ask him what is the gun for. and if your ok with his answer.
@smilelots I think we know who you voted for.
As long as he doesn't have any anger issues and he carries it to protect you both, you have nothing to worry about.

Is he masturbating over it? Taking selfies with it? Or is there a gun safe and he's responsible?
Also, is he abusive? Gun owning domestic abusers dont end well for the ladies.
Is he a legal gun owner?
Has he been trained on how to use guns?
If so, then you have nothing to worry about.
If he is a gangbanger who owns a gun illegally then yes?
Why should you? Go to the range. Enjoy it. Get your concealed carry. Live the life.
Bro, why are you asking if you trust him?
Maybe you don't fully trust him for some reason?
I don't understand why you would worry about it if you aren't feeling threatened.
