Why my boyfriend spends all day on discord?

my (20m) boyfriend and i (19f) spends almost every hour and every day on discord. not for two or three hours but like 10-12. this month and pretty much last month he spent almost every day on discord, sometimes playing videogames but most of the days he is “online” but not playing videogames or anything.
i don’t really know how to use discord so i’m kinda lost. he says he’s playing videogames but it doesn’t show in his profile. yesterday i was talking to him and he said he was on his way to the gym and he’d talk to me later. once i opened the app i saw him again online on discord. why would he lie about this? then i told him why did he tell me he’s on his way to the gym but he’s online and he said he didn’t know and it was probably a bug.
today i went to sleep a little earlier, at 10pm and i gave him good night and everything. out of curiosity i checked discord and AGAIN he was on discord. i asked him the other day what the hell is he doing almost all day on discord and he said he’s playing video games or talking to friends. i know he’s a gamer and all that but I don't know why he’s on discord every single day every single hour on that app. i don’t think someone spends 10-12 hours a day talking to friends non stop? it’s weird.

I had a friend who worked as a teller at a bank and she would hold 4 hour conversations with me online while she was at work, some people can multi task, I’ve produced around 4,000-8,000 pages of personal research over the last 3 years even though I am on GAG all day. I cut and paste ideas and bounce between websites.

You could be online on discord, while doing other things on the computer. Being on the computer all day is more common then you'd think. You can also turn that feature off, so it doesn't show what you are doing currently.
Not sure about the gym part, discord is available on the phone too, so he was probably using it on the go. That's my guess.

When he says he is playing games, he is probably playing games with his friends or alone. I don't think any guy would lie about that.
Don't you want to join him on discord and play with him sometimes?
