How do you talk about your partner being cheap without telling them their cheap when you've said everything you could?

I told him we could split things/ take turns or not to go out and save money by cooking our own meals. Its gotten better but it still makes me feel "not special" when he takes initiative on sometimes paying for the big things. It seems like I am always paying for some of the big things. I made a whole question about this recently. I don't have a job yet and he has a full time job.

He's not going to change for you. If you're seeking a provider, find someone who wants to provide. You may like certain things about a person, but it's the total package that needs to be observed before choosing a long-term partner. It's not that there's anything wrong with you or anything wrong with him, the two of you are just different, and you're not comfortable with that difference.
