For me, and the culture I come from, that is the whole premise of getting married. If we are not financially stable, no parents are willing to give their daighter's hand to you.
Hell no. I"m glad I don't have kids and don't want any. If I find a woman to marry I would want her to work so we have more money to work with for everything.
I always did carry my entire family financially until my kids started working

I'll pass. i almost can't provide for myself alone as an IT specialist with 7 years of experience. Inflation made most of us broke. I don't even have a drivers license.
I don’t want kids, but I would like to be a stay at home spouse

It use to be one of the reasons guys committed to a relationship was because that was one of the conditions for sex. Now too many women are willing to open up their legs without those conditions so why bother?

i don't want to, would love some help, but *I* do it way more... it sucks...
It’s pointless for a man to get married, your risking half your money and assets just to show a woman you love her. I would never do that and kids are just annoying.
@77five Doesn’t matter who caused the divorce, breaking up shouldn’t mean the woman is entitled to things the man paid for. But the law says thats the way it is, and with over seventy percent of marriage ending in divorce I would never risk it.

no, but some have no choice.
teamwork is what I'd want, in all endeavors.

It was that way in the US for 100 plus years except WW1 and 2 I do it now.
been saying this a long time now but usually wanting her to have some income is viewed as trying to sponge off her
How is a guy wjo makes his own money sponging off a woman if he wants her to make money as well?
not him. HER
expecting her to bring in money too

Since when do we have a choice? The husbands money is "our" money and the wife's money is 'her" money.
Since always...

When may say this, I often have to wonder what men think the usual cause for divorce is. Because if they know then theyed realize theyre the problem.

Id say she is entitled if the man did wrong and if she was a stay at home mom or a housewife.
It’s fine. It’s not as dramatic or hopeless as it sounds.
Why would I WANT to? I don't have a problem with it, I accept that responsibility. But I'm not trying "carry" anyone.🤣
Kids are apart of life and anything other than a life lived to the fullest is unacceptable
I earn all the money for my wife and I, as she is unable to work
Not ideal. I prefer a wife that also contributes.
my wife worked, her salary as she pointed out, is hers to spend as she sees fit. though my money is considered Ours
understood im actually cool with that provided that i actually got support
I have had to carry most of it, my wife never ever made much.
