How to recover my boyfriend's self confidence?

Some weeks ago my boyfriend had a "fun fight" in with a friend of us in front of me and his girlfriend. It was supposed to be just some fun and more or less even, but my boyfriend lost easily and had basically no chances, having to give up a couple of times. At trhe begyinning or during some arguments I mentioned it, but now I see he has lost a lot of his confidence, in life as well as in the bedroom. How can I help him regain it? He also wants to challenge him again, saying that it was just bad luck. Is it a good idea?

You should not have pointed out his inadequacies. He will have to dump you to get his 💩 back together. You will always be associated with that event.
Breaking up and getting totally out of his life is the best thing you can do for his confidence. Sorry.

Oh my gosh... You were just doing it for fun and he is taking this WAY too seriously. This is stupid fucking bullshit. Yeah you can do it again but if he is just going to get butthurt... What is the point? You can't have fun with some people.

Do you still love him? I assume so. How did he loose his confidence? Over a game
