I hope that the lesson sank in, honestly. Coincidentally, I had done the same crap some years ago when I was out on a date with an off duty policewoman - she slapped me, promptly tore me apart and said that if she wasn't off-duty, she would have seized my licence and arrested me. It stuck with me ever since.
Looking at her phone has nothing to do with inexperience, it's selfish and irresponsible. She could have killed you or others. You has every right to lay into her. Hopefully she will have learned her lesson
Your wife is an adult and she has definitely heard you. She definitely regrets not paying enough attention on the road, but you should also get to know why she had to keep looking at her phone while driving.
There’s never a good reason to keep looking at your phone when driving. If it’s that damn important then pull over. It’s not right to put other drivers at risk

I think you did the right thing. You did what you felt needed to be done to protect your family.
You should get her arrested. Maybe then she will learn her lesson.
You were not wrong at all.
I do not believe in yelling at one's partner. But in this case, it was justified.

God bless her.
Not at all, anytime I get in a car the phone is either in a hand free cradle or I will take it and hold it for the driving duration

If anything you were too soft on her. You should have taken the phone off her and thrown it out the damn window.
It's nice t legal in my State to use a cellphone while driving. Period!
You did right. What she did is as bad a drunk driving and you go to jail for drunk driving.
Nope, you did the right thing. 👍
Thank you
Thank you for preventing car accidents/deaths.
She might stop that now because it almost killed her
Nope, put her in her place.
