No for example a majority of domestic abuse victims are women
Research has shown that women do more abuse than men do. Women just get away with it. Abuse and toxic is the fall back reason for all of women failed relationships. But they will date the next guy that was said to be toxic or abused by his last girlfriend.
The vast majority (over 70%) of physically abusive relationships are mutually violent - meaning both people initiate violence against each other. In relationships where violence is one-sided, almost 2/3 have the male being the victim. These are US government statistics. Even then, domestic abuse represents a small percentage of divorce actions - the #1 reason women give for divorce is that "I'm not happy", with financial pressures being second place.

It's a legal strategy. Cases settle easier if the woman files so the lawyers for both sides advise to do it. It's not just a large number of women wanting divorces.

Because divorce is lucrative for women. Once they're entitled to the man's money and property, it's better to take it and find another man willing to pay the bills.
