If you have to lie to be accepted in a relationship, did you really succeed?

Some men think that's being successful and scoring gfs but is it? You're only getting the person base on lying.

The lies can a woman lying about being a virgin or her past to eventually settle down or a man lying about wanting marriage to get a girlfriend but he never intents to propose.

Did you really succeed if you had to lie to be accepted in the relationship? Is lying to get what you want really a success? The person you lied to isn't dating the real you, they're still being with a liar; with a false image you presented to them, with something that doesn't exist.

No one has anything to gain by lying, but that doesn't mean you need to reveal information that isn't pertinent to the relationship. Do you really feel it is important to describe the results to your partner every time you go to the bathroom?

Unfortunately, people tend to have unrealistic expectations of potential partners, which leads to people lying in order to get their foot in the door and be considered. I'm not someone who sees any value in bait and switch, but sometimes it can take some time and effort to open the other person's eyes to see how unrealistic their expectations are.

It's perfectly fine to have preferences, but getting nitpicky about the details will only limit our opportunities. It would be helpful for all involved if everyone clearly shared in advance their expectations of the other and what the other can expect of them. It's no fun to travel down a path that will never take us where we want to go.

Often in this dynamic it is a one-time acceptance the guy/gal are seeking. For some if it becomes a patterned friends with benefits then that's a plus but not an intent... Now, I have never had a friends with benefits but I have two lifetime bachelor friends who keep a Calendar for this reason. It is NOT about the relationship end from what I know.
