What does he really want?

OK so my best guy bud and I evolved into having random casual sex but we still hang out without hooking up. But since we started hooking up, he's behaviour has changed... like he comes over during the week and stays, bonding with my son, texts more, he offers to be my go to if I've had a shit day and need a hug, cracked it when I talk about another male freind, wanted to know who gave me flowers, and a couple of days ago asked me to go away with him to his cousin farm for a weekend... but when we have more than afew beveys carries on about he can't be a play house with picket fence and isn't capable of connecting emotionally (which is bullshit cause we have). Talks about other chicks, pushes me to put myself out there, then switchs and says shit like I'd rather be here with you than out pubbing, I have something other girls don't and that I'm different and special and that he tells only me his darkest traumas. I'm overwhelmed with confusion on what the "F" is going on!
