Why does a strong and tall female martial artist also wants a stronger partner (stronger than herself)?

My friend's older sister is married, already with two kids and the couple are in their late 30's.

She's a 5'9 martial artist and has been in the military before. Her husband is her male counterpart; martial artist, served in the military too. He's 6'3 and definitely a lot stronger. Not so long ago, they were play fighting with their martial arts and we saw he went soft on her, letting her win (pinning him down on the mat) but if he wanted to, he would've own her easily.

Why does even a tough, tall and strong female martial artist wants a much stronger partner than her... a much stronger version than her? She's already strong herself.

She's definitely a woman that can handle her own but she still chose someone much stronger and tougher than her, her exact counterpart.

Because we all want someone to be weak or lazy with.

A man stronger than his woman can still do that and be welcomed by her loving arms.

She can do that when he’s stronger than her, and know that things wouldn’t get out of hand.

She’s strong because she has to be.
