I’ve met two nice, attractive women that were snubbed by an acquaintance and a friend of mine. One who wanted me, the other wanting my bestie. The younger one seemed to feel awkward. The older one seemed deeply hurt and like she felt that she was defective. I haven’t been snubbed by a man. But I think that was cruel of them.
Where was the cruelness in the examples you gave? It seems you think a man rejecting a woman is cruel in and of itself.
My question is, why do women take rejection so much harder than men do? I've lost count of how many times I've heard a woman say she won't approach men because she tried it once and she was rejected, so she concluded men don't like women to approach them. Well guess what... most men get rejected many times for every one time they aren't rejected. If men concluded women don't like being approached because they got rejected, the human race would have gone extinct long ago.
And by the way, women are more likely than men to be mean in rejecting someone.

No idea. I have been rejected cruelly by a woman, and I just see it as "dodging a bullet" because if she had said "yes" I would have wasted time with someone with a bad personality.

Same reason some women are cruel to men when they reject men. It's much more common for women to be assholes when they reject men, because its men that most often do the approaching. It's a sign of a shifty person regardless of who it is.
I'll be honest hey some of y'all women need to come back down to earth and realize y'all ain't all 10s. A little cold hard truth might accomplish this versus the alternative you seek
