I always prefer to sit in the back as it feels more comfortable and safe unless the one who's driving is a partner, friend or a family and there's no one else in the car. So, I sit in the front next to them to keep them company because it just feels weird to sit in the back while they're driving.

I automatically go to the back seat if it is the three of us. Sometimes she will suggest I should sit in the front, I will tell her thanks but you take it!

If it is both of his parents or both of my parents, most often the dads drive but if my boyfriend were driving, usually the dad will sit in the front and me and the mom will be in the back.

As thr girlfriend I will usually always let my mother in law sit at the front unless I need to be dropped off. My boyfriend has one of them type of cars were you have to push back to car to get out.
